There are more, and if you behave yourselves while we're shopping I'll share more in tomorrow night's post."D-Day Delayed"
Todd's wife pointed out that we'd scheduled our game of golf for the Sunday afternoon that just happens to also be Mother's Day. So, in the interest of marital harmony we're going to reschedule. I feel a little like the condemned man who gets a stay of execution. The inevitable is delayd. But hey, it gives me time to get in that much more practice and that should add another 2 or 3 yards to my anemic drives.
Our Sun City newspaper comes out weekly on Tuesdays. Today's edition had an article on how to cope with the wild animals we have here, especially the coyotes. Number one piece of advice: don't put out food for them. It only encourages them to come back and to lose their fear of human contact.
Hey, I'll feed them steaks if they'll also take out some of the rabbits eating my plants! I looked out the window today and saw a rabbit laying in the middle of one of my daisy plants munching away. I went into the garage and got my spray bottle filled with repellent and gave all of the daisies a good coating. An hour later....yep, you guessed it.
I spent almost the entire day working on church stuff - picking songs, typing up lyric sheets, finishing the rest of the bulletin, making my handout for Foundations and working on my lesson....
I'm impatient for growth. Not discouraged. Maybe anxious is a better word. We're having such a great time and doing what I think is some significant worship and learning that I want others to experience what's going on at Pathway Bible Church.
Did you see the news story about the retired Army Engineer arrested by the feds for passing "highly classified" information to another govt.? He gave plans for the F-15, information on our nuclear weapons and on the Patriot missile defense system to spies for the Israeli government.
OK, color me naive, but I'm wondering why the government of Israel is spying on us! We give them more in foreign aid than we give to any other country. In fact, take out the nation of Columbia (we give them money for drug interdiction) and we give more money to Israel than we give to all of Central America, South America and Africa...combined! And they're spying on us?!
I'm thinking Congress should spend less time investigating athletes using HGH and use it to take another look at our relationship with Israel.
No man in the history of the world has ever excused himself from a restaurant table by saying, "Hey Tom, I was just about to go take a leak. Want to join me?"

With regard to Israel: The promises made to Abraham will prove out one way or the other. No people have persevered so long, always having a Remnant in the face of a concerted effort of the world to eradicate them physically AND culturally from the face of the earth. The only explanation that fits that is the Promise.
So why are you surprised that Israel would be syping on us?
oops...that should be "spying"!
