Tonight...early and short

Corporate Efficiency
Today is one of those days when I think I just may be too old for this kind of work. My body hurts! As a result my brain has little to offer for this post. (I know what your thinking!) And it's going to be an early turn-in for this old man.

You read it hear first (see last night's post)
Retired Senator George McGovern, himself once a presidential candidate and now a super-delegate, announced he was switching his support from Clinton to Obama and called on Hillary to drop out of the race.
I'm tellin' ya'...the first of many.

I just had two conversations with an individual who posted on the internet material to which I hold the copyright. That posting was made without the written permission required. In the first conversation I explained that his actions constituted theft and the material needed to be removed immediately. He called me back a few minutes later to apologize, to tell me he didn't understand how it all worked, and that he'd just removed the material. I take him at his word on all of the above.
But just in case there's anybody else out there who doesn't realize it, .PDF files are not exempt from copyright laws. They fall under the "electronic" means of duplication mentioned in the standard paragraph attached to a copyright notice.

While I was working this morning I heard a radio story about Alzheimer's. It made me think back to running the Fresno marathon. At least back then it was what they call an "out and back" - a course that goes halfway out to a turn-around point and then retraces that route for the second half. In many ways Alzheimer's is an out and back, both physically and mentally, retracing the developmental stages of life. But you don't realize you've reached the turn-around point until you're already well along on the return half of the run. And it doesn't take nearly as long to get back to the start/finish line.

OK, I've been sitting here for 15 minutes waiting for something else to come to mind, something that needs to come out of my head. I've concluded there just ain't anything in there. My mind keeps going back to two things: eating again and going to bed.

G'night
