Late Christmas Night

I took quite a few pics today but these two show the grandkids, this one with Uncle Steve holding Caedon. What's most remarkable about this photo is that Caedon isn't moving.

We ate - too much - then we played with Josh & Aubri's new Wii system. Turns out I'm just as uncoordinated with a little plastic tennis racket as I am with a real one. I got beat by a girl! But we played tennis, went bowling and boxed all right here in our living room. Pretty cool system.
Then we ate again - too much - and sat around and talked. Too much food in our bellies to do anything else.

It was really nice to be together as a family on Christmas Day. One of the realities of our mobile society is that we weren't all together, and I thought about the rest of 'em throughout the day. But having these here, and watching the grandkids full of energy and excitement was a lot of fun.

But what beats everything is being together in our relationship as spiritual family, being the children of God through faith in the Christ whose birth we celebrate. "I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth" (3 John 4).
I spout off about lots of things in this blog. Some of it is total nonsense, the scary voices inside an ADD brain. Some is personal opinion, convictions about how I think things ought to be. But one thing I'm absolutely sure of: no relationship is more important than your relationship with God, the One who loves you enough to send His Son to earth.
I have no idea who reads this blog, and no way to tell. But if you're reading this and realize you don't have a relationship with that God, do something about that. Send me an email (craig@macdonld.com) or talk to someone who can help you learn more about who Christ is and what he did for you.
That would be the best Christmas present ever, and it won't show up on next month's VISA bill!
