The plumber called this afternoon and the new box for the water heater came in. He'll be here in the morning to install it. Good thing, too, because Pam was really starting to smell bad.
This Sunday Steve & Michelle will run the 1/2 marathon distance in the P.F. Chang's event here in Phoenix. They had a total of 160,000 runners last year for the two distances (half and full marathon). Props, kids!

An average of one young athlete dies each week from a sudden collapse while training or competing in a school sport. Almost all of those deaths are from an undiagnosed enlarged heart, something that can be detected through an electrocardiogram. So shouldn't schools include that test as part of the screening already required for student athletes?
Does your answer change when you learn that there are about 10 million young athletes in the US?
How much is it worth to save 52 lives?
