I like rice. It's great if you're hungry and want 2,000 of something.

I'm getting hungry, but so far nobody is bringing me dinner. Something is wrong.

This is cool. Doesn't do us any good, but it's interesting. It shows gas prices for every area in the country so you can see where it's cheap and/or expensive. You can zoom in to your zip code, and it apparently gets updated daily.
Gas Prices
Looks like one more reason to move to the Phoenix area.
I'm just sayin'....

And now, my new addiction. I'm still playing the cannon game; it's different every time and I'm posting better scores. But this is fun too, and you can make it as difficult or as easy as you want.
Jigsaw Puzzles
There are a lot of combinations for making this endlessly different. Go exploring on the site and you'll find variations in pictures, cut-out patterns, all kinds of things.

I had fun today. Met with a family this morning at Starbucks to talk about Pathway Bible Church. Nice people and we had a good conversation. Went from there to a call-back, and tightened the hot water supply hose to the kitchen faucet I installed. If it leaks again I'll have to take it off and re-wrap it with teflon tape. These fittings are sometimes just finicky and I think this is a case in point. After that I stopped by the home of one of the couples who attend Pathway. As I was leaving I told them that one of the things I had missed about being a pastor is the privilege of interacting with the people in my church. Being a pastor is great fun. Sure, sometimes it's stressful, frustrating, and challenging. But the blessings far outweigh those elements. Yes, I love the theology and preaching/teaching, but the people are the best part.

Tomorrow in the worship service we'll be looking at God's announcement to Abraham that one year hence Sarah will give birth to a son. That one would have been fun to see. Among other dynamics in play at that point, Abraham knew his rep was about to change in a major way! Having a male heir was perhaps the single most important element in how a man was viewed by his peers, his neighbors. Abraham is about to go from being the object of pity among the men around him to being..."Dude!!"

And this association may be near blasphemous, but remember that I'm ADD and our brains fire in some pretty scary ways.
Did you see the news story that Steve Warshak, who founded the company that makes and markets Enzyte has been found guilty of fraud? This can't surprise anybody with an IQ above a sweet potato, but I'm going to miss Smiling Bob. Those were good ads.

It appears nobody is going to bring me dinner. And while I could drive up the street to the fast food joint I'm determined to prove I'm a better man than that!
There's got to be something in the freezer.
