Which means they had supper together.
If that's the case, how could they not talk about the last time they ate together, the "Last Supper?" Talk about two very different experiences. Imagine their conversation, but more than that, their uncontrollable joy and enthusiasm. That would have been a kick to witness!
This is a pic of the John F. Kennedy, an aircraft carrier, docking in Malta. Click on the photo to see a larger version. The original pic is really big and shows a lot of interesting detail. It is impressive.
I think this morning went well. No way for me to see inside the heads or hearts of those who came. God, however, can, and we leave outcomes to him.We had visitors, some of whom were out of town family and some of whom are neighbors. It was a very simple service, mostly because we don't have the horses to do anything else. But if we focused on Christ and his resurrection, if we did justice to that event and its significance for our individual lives today, then we fulfilled our mandate for Easter morning.
The Pope gave an Easter message too, in which he called for peace in Tibet, Iraq and Palestine. Peace in those places, and anywhere conflict rages, would be a very good thing. But reading that news story made me wonder what effect his sermon could possibly have on those conflicts. Are any of the protagonists going to palm-slap themselves on the forehead and say, "Well, now that the Pope has called for peace I need to quit fighting and just let it all go."
Sorry if that sounds too cynical. I just thought it was an odd thing for a Pope to say, especially to Buddhists, Jews and Arabs.
They wanted a fresh photo to go along with an article I wrote, so Pam and I went north of here a few miles to take the new motorcycle pic on the panel to the right. (She drove the car up.) I air-brushed out the guard rail and the houses on the hillside. Gave me such a feeling of power.
I have discovered the greatest show on TV. I stumbled across it two weeks ago - "Set-Up." It's on SPEED, so you need to have cable and SPEED has to be one of your channels. A fresh episode airs Thursday nights but they replay back episodes during the week.
I think 18 drivers started the season. They all drive identical Pontiac Soltices, the turbo model. They race various tracks and the last one in each race goes home. Because they're already part way into the season I don't know for sure how many started. They're almost all young drivers who have been racing in the amateur ranks and are trying to get into the pros.
That's not a particularly enticing description but trust me, it's a great show. Catch an episode if you can. Great stuff!
I'm already at work on next Sunday. Gen. 22 - Abraham offers up Isaac. Very powerful story. Who is the main character?
I think that's the key to the passage.

OK. But some may have been away, about the same as visited. Since I understand you met in a park, did strangers stop in? How many actually attended, and of those, any feel as to potential continuees? Is that a word? When does the new venue go "on line"?
