This one you're going to have to click on to enlarge. And after that you may want to right-click on it and save it to your desktop so you can then open it with Windows Viewer which will allow you to use the zoom tool (magnifying glass). Everyone in this painting is an historical figure, from Ceasar to Arafat to Mike Tyson. How many can you ID?This morning a 47 year old man here was riding his bike home from work when something caused him to lose control of his bike. He ran into a light pole and died shortly thereafter from head trauma.
He wasn't wearing a helmet.
You may remember that a couple of months ago I got all exercised about people who don't wear a helmet when they ride a bike. Worse, parents who make their kids wear one but then don't themselves. Consider this a reminder.
If you're on two wheels, wear a helmet!!
One big news item today. One really big item!
We met Katie this morning and as of this Sunday, Pathway Bible Church will be meeting at Cutting Edge Dance at the southwest corner of Litchfield and Camelback! Katie (the owner) was very accommodating, the fee is very reasonable and her studio is going to work very well for us. I'll try to take some pics this Sunday.
Having a public space instead of a home brings a lot of tasks and a lot of opportunity at the same time.
Advertising now makes sense, but to do that we need a logo. Then signs and brochures. And a web site. And chairs and a sound system. Probably more stuff, too, but we'll discover what that is as we move forward.
All the studies say that the single most effective means to growing a church is the personal invitation. So while we'll take advantage of the mass media opportunities we now have, the key is still for each of us to talk to others.
To whom much is given, much is required. God gave us a great blessing today. Now we need to be good stewards of that blessing.
