Last night Pam's laptop was acting weird so she handed it to me. I couldn't get anything to work. Even cntrl/alt/del brought no results. "Task Manager has been disabled by your system administrator." So in between jobs today I took it in to Best Buy and up to the Geek Squad counter. I got a female Geek. I could tell because she had glitter in her nail polish. The laptop is thoroughly infected with one or more viruses that have eaten all the way into Windows. We'll have it back in 3 days or so and they'll have $200 of our coin.
We've just had a conversation about the risks of unprotected sex...and the parallels to opening email attachments.
I spent 5 hours this morning installing the 12' x 27' sheet of vinyl. Whew! That much vinyl is heavy and awkward. Because this is an older mobile home it doesn't have baseboards which means I had to be pretty precise about the edges. I was out by 12:30 and ready for a break.
After lunch and a crash (no pun intended) I rode the motorcycle into town with a few tools in the back for a job installing some hooks at a house I'd worked at almost a year ago. If I hadn't taken the bike I'd have spent more in gas than I made on the job. My business manager will probably be all over me for not charging enough for the trip, but I'll just refer him to the head of my P.R. department who says customer good will is always worth it.
The D'backs are looking pretty good so far! And Tigers fans, if there are any left, gotta be pretty bummed. With a payroll second only to the Yankees they still haven't won a single game.
I've got a little stucco patch job tomorrow but besides that I think I'm going to spend the day in the books. And the Book. Because I lost the first half of last week to the flu I didn't feel good going into Sunday morning. Insufficient study time. So I'll work on my sermon and lesson, and I'll also work on a sermon calendar for the next few months. After a couple of days worth of physical labor my brain wants a turn.
I do some of my best thinking with a cup of coffee and a pastry in front of me. That requires a coffee shop. Getting to that coffee shop would be most efficient on a motorcycle.
I think there's a coffee shop in Sedona.
