Whew!

A long and crazy day. But interesting and enjoyable.
Apologies for the irregular posting schedule, but I'm only able to get to a wi-fi zone at irregular times, and often it's when something else is going on.

I met early this morning with Frosty, then with Pastor Paul. Paul and I went over edits that need to be made to the curriculum that he discovered during his test-teach this year. We talked shop, too. That's always enjoyable.

From there to lunch with Murl and Virginia. Great people, they. He's in the early stages of chemo that precedes the surgery he'll have in a couple of months.
From lunch to see Sammi, but she was taking her nap so I had to spend the time visiting with Bonnie.
Then back to my mother-in-laws to head out for dinner. Pam's nephew, and her brother and wife joined us.
A tank full of gas (it's $4.15 here too) took me to the wedding rehearsal. This one was a little ragged compared to most. But normally I've had plenty of time over several weeks to work through the details with the bride and groom. And this one involves a blended family of young kids and some adults who have, shall we say, a keen sense of the lighter side of everything. I'm sure it will all come together tomorrow night. But I asked the groom if his brothers were inclined to pull a prank and he assured me they were. So we'll wait for the shoe to drop.

Tomorrow I'll spend some time out at the Norders and then go someplace to work on Sunday stuff. Grab some dinner and head for the wedding. The ceremony is scheduled to start at 7:00 p.m., but the key word is "scheduled." I predict no earlier than 7:15.
After the reception I'll get in the car and head for Detroit. If I'm out of here at 10:00 I'll be at the airport by 1:00 to drop off the car and get shuttled to the terminal. I'll camp out there and doze until my 6:00 a.m. flight. It doesn't make any sense to go to mom's house after the wedding to sleep for an hour or two just to get up and drive across the state. No biggie. I don't mind.

Never get in a fight with a pig. You'll both get dirty and he'll enjoy it.

Pam's been sick since the day before I left. I've called her a couple of times a day and she's not sounding any better. She says she has a queasy stomach and feels very weak. I don't like being here when she's sick there.

Hey, I have stuff in my head, but given my schedule over the next 36 hours or so I think I better hit the sack. I just felt some sense of obligation to let you know that a lack of posts is just the result of my schedule and location.
I promise something of substance .... I don't know when.
And "substance" is a pretty ambiguous term, as you have seen in the past.

Amidst "dozing at the airport" until your boarding time, please remember to HYDRATE. Start early.

Yeah - because I am not driving to Columbus or South Bend to pick you up!
