I started the day doing my Monday morning speed ride. If I ever had a fast twitch muscle it went the way of all flesh years ago.
Because we're in the monsoon season it was 80 degrees when I left a little before 6 a.m. and the humidity was 70%. Uff-dah.

After b'fast I went in to the clinic with plans to finish everything up. The key word there is "plans." I got the doors hung and in the process decided I really like hanging steel framed doors in steel construction. Compared to the challenge of getting a pre-hung wood door hung in a wood framed wall this was a piece of cake. The only trick is getting a 3' x 7' solid core wood door up onto the hinges and steady while the pins are put in. Those things are heavy! But some help from one of the guys over at the adult clinic and all went well. With the doors.
Don't waste your money on adhesive-backed vinyl baseboard. The adhesive sticks to everything except the wall. So when I go back tomorrow I'll take some paint thinner to clean off that adhesive and then apply some vinyl adhesive from a tube.
And I'll remember to take my Workmate with me so I can clamp the angle iron for the swing brackets. I need to cut it with my grinder to form support brackets.
Which is to say that I didn't plan on going back tomorrow, but no big deal. An hour or two and the project will be done.

We watched the ESPY's on ESPN. Hosted by Justin Timberlake. Turns out that guy is good. Funny and talented. Who knew?

The International Criminal Court (ICC) has issued an arrest warrant for the President of Sudan, Omar el Beshir, for war crimes that include genocide. No question that he is a truly evil man, but I'm curious about this warrant. Since the ICC has no associated police force, who is going to serve the warrant, arrest Beshir and then deliver him to the court? Or is this just posturing?
