You know by now that Sunday night posts are short and absent any significant thought. Which makes them different from all other posts only in length.
I don't think it's ever wise to announce what God is doing. To do so presumes knowledge beyond human limits, including knowledge of the future. But it is safe to announce what God has done. Accordingly, God gave us another very good morning at Pathway Bible Church. A couple of us commented before the service how noisy it was, and we were smiling about that. We continue to have new visitors and returning visitors, and most of them come with small children. Nickles, numbers and noise are no sure guarantee of God's work, but with other factors can be an indication of it. I think it's fair to say that Pathway is headed in a good direction.
OK, I realize it's juvenile, but here's a prank to pull on someone that I'll be storing away for just the right occasion.

By now we know nearly everything there is to know about Michael Phelps, including that he has ADHD to a significant degree. Because of that, and also because of his unique physical characteristics, he was teased and picked on as a kid. School didn't go well in any respect.
But what we've seen over the last week is a very dedicated and skilled athlete who is also articulate and gracious. People are comparing him to Tiger Woods but I find Phelps much more approachable, sociable. A superb athlete also worth admiring as a person.
I thought last night as I watched one of the interviews with Phelps that parents of ADHD and ADD children should take real encouragement from him. What is now means nothing about what can be. This is not to minimize the challenges of dealing with children so afflicted. Parents, teachers, siblings and others have a tough job! But Michael Phelps is proof that the extra work it takes to love, nurture and teach an ADHD or ADD child can pay off in ways we couln't imagine.
Thank you, Father, for a good day. For the opportunity to spend time listening to you speak through Scripture, and to fellowship with others in worship. "Except the Lord build the house...," and so we continue to ask your blessing on Pathway.
We would be faithful.
