I went to the store to buy some camoflauge pants but I couldn't find any.

The chrome tailpipe extensions on a classic VW are nicknamed pea shooters. Our new acquisition is missing the right side pea shooter. The muffler has only the hole where that chrome piece should be, and that's not just a cosmetic issue. Even though this car is 42 years old it still requires a smog certificate from the state. Suspecting a problem I went to the inspection station this morning to ask and, sure enough, they have to have a tailpipe in order to "collect" the exhaust fumes. They can handle dual exhaust but not a hole in the muffler where a tailpipe goes. So I went online and ordered a pair of OEM spec pea shooters and the clamps to attach them. That way they'll match. I also ordered a bumper bracket to replace the one on the left that's broken.
I'm anxious to get ________ home. (We still haven't come up with the definitive name.)

As long as I was online I looked at the state site that lets you look up what's available for personalized plates. MACDNLD isn't taken. FAHRT and GR8SCOT are. BUGME is available, as is MACBUG.

I planned to go this morning but my sermon wasn't done, so tomorrow I'll be up and out early, headed for Scottsdale. The upside is no traffic on a Saturday morning, which will keep it to a 50-minute commute. My goal is to grout, caulk and install the finish plumbing in time to be back to Goodyear in time for lunch with the kids. Don't know if that's realistic or not.

Last week in Foundations we looked at Hebrew poetry and learned how it works. We have a little more to do on that before we move on to the Wisdom Literature. So by the time we finish the lesson we will have completed our OT overview. Now we can put it to use!
