The original point-and-click device ... Smith & Wesson

I'm not getting emails. The rest of my internet connection is fine but for some reason Yahoo isn't sending me my messages. I know that for a certainty because I sent myself an email using Pam's computer. So I went to the "Help" section of Yahoo Mail. You can guess how they communicate with their customers.

I don't understand the lint part of the laundry process. Is all of that coming off the clothes? Because if that's the case - and I can't think of another source for all of that stuff - I should stop washing and drying clothes. I'm sure the dryer is wearing them out a lot faster than I am.
And why does a load of whites generate no lint one time and fill the screen the next?
Is this one of those parallel universe things?

I did the valve adjust on Gerta this morning. I had to stop for a run to the auto store for a different feeler gauge, one that would fit in the small space. But other than that the job went smoothly, and I now have eight valves, each with .006" of clearance.
The valve covers are held on with a bale clip. How simple can it get?

Why can't I hit my driver straight? I sometimes push my irons out to the right, but if I'm careful I can keep them reasonably straight. However, no manner of focus and care will put a drive down the center. This is going to be a serious issue if I can't solve the problem in the next two weeks.

In space the astronauts can't cry. Because there's no gravity the tears can't run.

President Obama is going to reverse the prohibition against embryonic stem cell research that Bush established by executive order. That is neither unexpected nor acceptable. Bush's ban was widely criticized within the medical community but it also drove research into alternatives that they never would have pursued otherwise. As a result they can now derive stem cells from a variety of non-embryonic sources, including skin. That research will undoubtedly stop in favor of the easier embryonic work.
There are things more important than a "healthy" economy.

I looked for that Super Pasta they talk about on TV but I couldn't find it.
Have you seen those adds for the new meals that have the pasta on one side of the container and the meat & vegetables on the other side? I don't remember their name. But you microwave the things, drain the water, and then mix the two sides.
At the end of the commercial they say that these things can be found on the Super Pasta aisle in your grocery store. But the stores here don't have a Super Pasta aisle.

They also don't have unfinished furniture stores here. Seriously! What's up with that?

The live opera on NPR this afternoon was Madama Butterfly. Such beautiful music, and such a sad story. I want to hit that Pinkerton guy. Jerk.

Once a year I have to prune the three citrus trees out back. Miserable job. Once a year I swear I'm going to cut them down. Somebody at our house thinks that would be a bad idea.
Next year I'll swear I'm going to cut those things down.

Before the opera came on I heard an interview with one of the stars from WWE, the largest of the professional wrestling organizations. Did you know they have script writers that lay out not just individual matches, but the whole season's developments? It's like a soap opera, with certain characters rising, others falling, conflicts between them escalating, bad guys becoming good guys and visa versa.... And all of this is decided by a group of writers.

I don't got nuthin else for tonight. I been working hard all day and my brain is pooped. Besides, I gotta make sense when I stand up there tomorrow morning. So you're just gonna have to be satisfied with this. And if you don't like it, send me an email.
