Bomb Technician - If you see me running try to keep up.

Tomorrow will present special problems. At least that's what I'm praying for. About 1600 people got our direct mail piece this week. A .5% response would bring 8 homes to Pathway tomorrow morning. That will overwhelm us.
Lord, please overwhelm us!

Our series in 1 Corinthians brings us to the middle section of chapter 10 for the sermon. Paul puts communion and idol worship in juxtaposition and the result is, I think, some significant implications for the meaning and significance of communion.
In order to get to those we'll have to do a quick overview of the various views on the Lord's Supper, ranging from transubstantiation (Roman Catholicism) to memorialism (most evangelical churches).
The R.C. view is what explains this.

Still can't figure out what's going on with Al. Last night I called one of the Greyhound adoption ladies we worked with and she suggested a change in his food from a chicken based to a lamb based formula. We started that this morning, and while I think it's coincidental he has no appetite today. Ate little this morning and almost nothing tonight.
She said that if we can't get him straightened around we may have to "reset" his digestive system by giving him nothing but cooked rice with chicken broth for two days. They may also send us more worming medicine.
She told me why I can't get him to take any treats. A racing Greyhound has never been hand fed. They always rec'd their food in a bowl inside their crate. So they don't know to take food from your hand.
He gobbled a small amount of ice cream I put in his bowl last night but part of a frozen Twinkie there today went untouched.
He is such a perfect dog in every respect that I hope we can get this issue straightened out soon.

We were out at lunch time today and ate at a west coast chain called the "5 and Diner". I had a really good, big cheeseburger, fresh fries and handmade shake. Old fashioned diner fare. But I'm paying for it tonight.

I'll be back tomorrow night but I'm done for the night. Crash city.
