It might have been a storm. Or it might have been someone who is still learning the finer points of tree felling. Either way, I think this one's totaled.
This is the species known as Solis Polis Ichthus.

We've been in triple digits for a record-tying 13 days and today's 107 was 16 degrees above normal. We'll break the record tomorrow. Not cool.

I heard this story on NPR while I was running errands this afternoon. Mind bending.
