"What this country needs is more free speech worth listening to." - Hansell B. Duckett
Most of you have already seen this link on Facebook. But for those who haven't:
Craig & Pam make it big on NPR
The best part is Al's cameo. But he's been walking around with his nose in the air all day. No living with him now.
Here's an article to read and then ask yourself, "How would I answer this guy?"
Debunking the Bible
Several verses should come to mind.
Guys like this sound really convincing all by themselves. Which is why you need to know your Bible. Turns out he misuses, misquotes and mistakes.
I'm apparently one of the very few people who didn't like Star Trek when it was on TV, hasn't seen any of the movies and has no interest in the latest release in the series.
I've never been a fan of science fiction, but the primary reason I didn't like the TV show was the sound. I don't know if they still air reruns; if they do watch a bit of one to see what I mean. Otherwise, just imagine any episode and think about the sounds. They were all harsh, loud and hard. All the gizmos made electronic sounds that grate on the ear. The same was true of the visuals; harsh colors and hard surfaces on the sets.
Go ahead, call me weird. But I have a theory: science fiction TV shows and movies are almost universally characterized by harsh audio and visuals. Am I wrong?
Here's a video from Google. You'll be trying this.

Nancy Pelosi has now called out the CIA. Specifically, she said they habitually lied in the briefings they gave to Congress. The records of those briefings, records that show they did tell her that waterboarding was used, are fabricated according to her.
That probably seemed at the time like a safe thing for her to say since the CIA was, at that time, run by the Bush administration. She can safely take a shot at them, right.
Except that the current CIA Director, Leon Panetta, knew what he had to do when asked about Pelosi's claim. Panetta is a longtime Democratic player but he's also the head of a large organization made up of career civil servants. Side with his fellow Democrat and he loses all cred with his employees. That would mean the end of his effectiveness at the agency. So Panetta said the CIA gives Congress accurate and truthful briefings.
So now we have a he-said, she-said with briefing records to back him up.
This may all disappear but it could also get very interesting.
