(Anticipiss)Guess which magazine went to press just over two weeks ago.

No post last night. I used up almost all my energy installing that door yesterday and the rest of it babysitting the grandkids last night. By the time I got home I needed a Diet Coke just to generate the energy to go to bed.
The laundry is done and put away, clean sheets on the bed, the dishes are washed and put away and everything picked up.
It's time for Pam to come home!
(I'm out of food.)
Whoever knew there were so many options for frozen pizza? I was struck by the one that had "peperoni flavored meat substitute." Sorry, that's a risk I'm not willing to take.
If Congress has the time to take up the college football playoff system they have time to enact legislation requiring zip openers on the boxes of frozen pizzas.

My favorite college football game of the year is the Army/Navy game. This year's contest was played today and Navy won 17-3. I always root for Navy because my best friend through childhood attended the Naval Academy at Annapolis. But what draws me to the game is the unique nature of the event. It's not the most skillfully played game and almost never features a nationally known player. But all of the players - young men who graduated at or near the top of their H.S. class - have passed on scholarships to major universities to attend one of our military academies. There they, along with other men and women of the same high caliber, take an incredibly difficult course of study and are kicked out if their grades fall below a B average. If they make it to graduation they enter military service with a minimum commitment of five years.
If there's a football game where I wish both teams could win it's the Army/Navy game. I may root for Navy but I have great respect for all of them, and for their classmates in the stands.
Josh and Aubri have a Lab named Bowman, after Scotty Bowman who coached the Detroit Red Wings for years. He's a great dog, and like almost all Labs loves attention. So when I got home last night Al immediately got Bo's scent from my jeans. He accused me of going Tiger on him.
I'm looking forward to tomorrow morning. Besides the blessings of worshiping with the people of Pathway we're going to have guests, Duane & Lenore Olberg, from my home church in Seattle. They fall into the category of heroes. I'll explain tomorrow night.
For now I've got to put the other half of this pizza in the fridge and then polish off the rest of the chocolate cake.
