How 'bout them Coyotes?!
The Suns, on the other hand....
You just never know what's going on inside someone else. Years later you find out that basic kindness hit them at a time of particular need and made a difference in their life.
A reminder that what seems little may turn out to be surprisingly big.
Twice in less than a week I've reconnected with someone who, after years of disappointment and struggle, has rec'd special blessings from God in their life. That makes me happy.
Today I installed a microwave and drilled only the correct holes. No Swiss cheese in the cabinet bottom this time!
Here's a fun site:

that gives a simple math-related graphic M-F. Some are pretty clever.
The illegal immigrant bill that the AZ gov. signed last week is big news everywhere. Especially here. I don't know exactly what I think about it. So here, with a nod to Peter King (Sports Illustrated columnist) are several things I think I think:
- I agree with the gov. and Sen. McCain. If the federal govt. had done its job and passed legislation to address the issue this AZ bill never would have been passed. Instead, Congress chickened out of what would have been a politically difficult issue. It's disingenuous for the Pres. and others to criticize this bill for overreaching when they've done nothing.
- On its surface the bill simply makes it a violation of state law to be in AZ illegally. Seems like a no-brainer.
- The problems, and they strike me as overwhelming, come with the enforcement. If an LEO stops someone and has "probable cause" to think they may be illegal he/she can ask for proof. If that proof isn't deemed adequate the LEO can detain the person. The potential there for racial profiling seems unacceptably high. I've got $100 that says I'll never get asked for citizenship docs. But if my skin was brown and my name Gonzales....
- It seems significant, IMHO, that apart from the camera-seeking missile name Al Sharpton the Black community has been deafeningly silent on this one. How come?
