Try this at home.
I read you can buy pens that "write" a line that conducts electricity - one for positive and one for negative. The article suggested using these for a variety of craft projects, especially for kids. Make a paper airplane, draw lines with the pens, then tape in LED's and a small watch-type battery.
If it works on paper does it work on fabric? Imagine the possibilities!
Glow in the dark....
I pulled a can of Diet Coke from the box in the fridge and noticed it felt too light. Gave it a little shake and realized it's only about 1/3 full. Is this freak of manufacturing worth anything? Have I got an eBay bonanza on my hands?

We had a church picnic today. I was very pleased with the turnout, esp. since the temps climbed into the mid-90's. Great opportunity for new people to interact with and get to know others.
Some of them went out in the grass (OK, it's mostly brown, but it was green two months ago) and took turns hitting baseballs to each other. Teri suggested Pathway needs to field a co-ed softball team. After watching them for awhile some of us decided our biggest problem would be coming up with guys who play well enough to be on the same team as our women. Turns out we have some gals who played college sports on a scholarship, including softball, and others who are just natural athletes.
I came home and looked online. Apparently there is no church softball league here. Whassup with dat?!
This is the time of year when we gradually delay Al's evening walk, pushing it back incrementally each day. The pavement is too hot for a dog's feet until the sun gets low in the sky. In another month we'll have to wait until after sunset. Unfortunately, Al doesn't understand that and his internal clock still goes off at 5 p.m.
I leave again for Seattle and the estate sale of my folks' stuff on Tuesday. For some reason I couldn't get a direct flight this time so I'll spend three hours in the Portland, OR airport. Frustrating. I could drive to Seattle in that amount of time.
I Googled it, and at least they have free wi-fi.
Pam's laptop was so totally infected that after I downloaded scrubbing software I couldn't open it. The virus prevented would allow me to. So I took the hard drive out, set it on the garage floor and beat on it with my framing hammer until it spilt out bits and bytes. Little tiny fragments. I read that you can sell laptops without their hard drives on eBay but I'm more inclined to take it to Best Buy for recycling to avoid the hassle.
Tomorrow: Redemption. Manumission. Freedom!
