Tears will get you sympathy. Sweat will get you change.

NASCAR is in town this weekend. I think it's the last race of their season. 'round and 'round they go, where they crash nobody knows.

Our new neighbors are painting their house...by hand. I was out doing some work in the backyard as Sandy was painting, so we chatted over the sound of her radio. Did you know they listen to country western music in South Dakota? I suppose it is south.
And we're talking hardcore country, not this crossover stuff.
"I ain't as good as I once was, but once I'm as good as I ever was." Really?

Red Green is in town tomorrow, at the Ace Hardware about 12 miles from here. The poster said he'll be at the store from 11:00 to 1:00. I may have to go see the man. We loved his show.
I wish I also had time to go to the Greek Festival. Maybe Sunday afternoon. It's in Scottsdale, sponsored by the big Greek Orthodox church over there.

Walked and carried 18 holes this morning. Caught up with a VERY slow group of five old men in three carts, and one of the guys consistently hit his drives no further than the woman's tee. I walked up to the 15th tee while they were still hitting their drives. One of the guys turns around and says, "Oh, are you playing golf?"
Uhm, no. I just decided to lug this 20 pound bag of clubs from tee to green so I could walk behind you fine gentlemen.

The French have just come out with their own version of the iPad.
You can see a demo here.

Jack's doing a good job of adjusting to his new surroundings and routine. We've had a couple of glitches but nothing worrisome. I'm working on getting him in shape. We briskly walk a mile or so each morning and evening and now I've started running segments of the distance. Of course my run is his trot, but he hasn't been on the track since July of '07 and I doubt he's run since then. So he gets winded after a couple of blocks. We'll both get in running shape eventually.

Thyatira Sunday morning. Jezebel. And metanoeo, a very important NT word.

But for now...bedtime!
