"I can't understand it. I can't even understand the people who can understand it." - Queen Julianna (Netherlands)

It's Sunday night.

We expected attendance to be down some this morning because of the holiday weekend and we were right. But if (since) we believe God is sovereign we must conclude those present and those absent matched his perfect will.

We talked about my favorite word this morning. Selfish, I know, but I'm the preacher so I get to choose.

On my evening walk with Jack I noticed a raised garage door on a street perpendicular to ours. Actually, what caught my eye was the car parked inside. The hood was up but everything from there back was covered by tarps. I went to peek. From the front end and engine compartment I can't tell if it's a '63 or a '64, but it's a Chevy. A very nice one. Ours was a '63 Impala, but it had a 283 and this is a 427. The engine compartment is clean enough to eat from and it has factory air.
I plan to get to know this neighbor. He might want to go cruisin' with my '67 VW.
Or not.

The Card's third string QB beat the Cowboy's third string QB. Whoopee!

I'm done. Sunday night done.
