Somebody needs an underwear change.

I was a very immature college freshman and very homesick, which explains why I wrote a letter home every day. I was also a very bad speller, which explains why my mom often sent my letters back with misspelled words corrected. I spell better now but still often need spell check to bail me out.

Yeah, a parent is only as happy as their saddest child.

Because I took a couple of months off from riding my bike my weekly mileage total is down in the 50-60 mile range. I'll gradually work it up to about twice that...maybe. My average speed for my various routes is about one mph faster than before my layoff. Adding mileage seems to reduce average speed. Which is better in terms of health benefits, speed or distance?
Or, it may just be that I need to push myself harder on my longer rides instead of settling in to a moderate pace.

I saw news footage today of doctors circulating among protesting teachers in Madison, writing out the slips required for the teachers to claim absence from work due to illness. Hmmmm.

Did you know Yalta and Malta are two different places? Turns out they're not even close to each other. But they are both islands. Today Libyan Air Force pilots flew their planes to Malta rather than bomb their fellow citizens. They probably didn't have enough fuel to fly to Yalta, where nothing significant has happened since February of 1945. They messed that one up so badly they decided to stop doing anything.

We're singing this song at Pathway next Sunday. I chopped the first 31 seconds off, so ignore that part. I did not know Laura Hackett's music before stumbling across this song. I'm definitely going to look into the rest of her songs.

By the time I choose each Sunday's three songs, convert them to MP3's, edit the sound file, transcribe the lyrics and create the slides I've used up most of a Monday morning. But I only have to do this once for each song in our karaoke library. So, in another year....
