"I believe we are on an irreversible trend toward more freedom and democracy - but that could change." - Dan Quayle

Keep looking.

Don't know, won't speak for anyone else, but I had a good time this morning.
There's always so much to think about when we go to the Bible - concepts and principles that challenge me to see things in different, better ways.
And my class did a great job working through issues related to the 10th Commandment.
How would you fill in the blank?:
"Coveting is to stealing what lust is to _______."

My brain and my stomach don't know what to do with the quake's aftermath. Especially the agony of people looking for missing family members.
No looting. No disruption to law and order. No acting out.
Why?

The lily pond has a new floor, a thin layer of mortar mix that I poured and troweled Saturday morning. It's not rock hard yet but it is growing a nice layer of efflorescence. Know what that is? Neither did I, but when I read on the can of DryLock that it MUST be removed before the paint can be applied I figured out it's a problem. It's a while layer forming on the top of the cement as it cures, and after reading up on the internet I learned it's caused by salts rising to the surface as the cement dries. The paint can says to use muriatic acid but the internet says muriatic acid is nasty stuff that requires careful safety precautions and must be thoroughly removed using baking soda and LOTS of water to rinse the surface. Uhm...rinsing is a problem on the floor of a pond that's 32" deep. So tomorrow I'll attack it with a stiff scrub brush, a suggested alternative.
This project has been more challenging than I anticipated.

Sunday night. You know what that means.
Goodnight.
