This is an extremely cool picture! And if you don't get it, you're a punk kid!!
They've started playing “Jar of Hearts” by Christina Perri on one of the local stations. I like the song and her voice. I looked it up online and it seems to be her first release. If it sounds familiar it's because it was used on "So You Think You Can Dance" last season. Which is why it does NOT sound familiar to me.
Mix tapes give way to burned CD’s give way to playlists.
A gift bought at Macy’s gives way to Macy’s gift certificate gives way to pre-loaded VISA card good at any store at the mall.
Mash notes give way to emails give way to text messages.
Romance is takin’ a hit, folks.
I finally got around to ordering an ID band to wear on my bike rides. That way they’ll know where to send the pieces if I get hit. I ordered the ankle version. Based on the web site info I’ll be able to wear it on my upper arm. (Vis a' vis the pic of Serena in last night's post.)

I'm now using Keynote, the included Mac equivalent to Microsoft's Power Point, for our song slides at Pathway. Except it's not equivalent. I finally watched some of the online tutorials this morning and the capabilities built into Keynote are amazing.
I would make one improvement, though. In "Light Table" view I want the ability to increase the size of the slides. My old eyes can't see much of anything the way it is.
I like watching NFL games. I don't watch the NBA until the playoffs or MLB until game seven of the World Series...and then only if Cal Ripken is playing. But if those fools can't figure out a way to divide up something like $9 billion in annual revenue then I'm happy to watch curling instead.
Mazda is recalling 52,000 Mazda6 sedans...because of spiders.
Rumor has it the people at Fiat are responsible.
(a little automotive humor)
I've written here about our love for Top Gear, the BBC show we get now with DirectTV. But my enjoyment of the show has been suddenly sullied. For reasons they didn't specify the three of them agree the VW Beetle is the worst car ever made.
What?????
I'd forgotten one of the effect of a rigorous cycling regimen. But now that I'm back to it I remember that I'm HUNGRY all the time. Which is why I'm headed out to the kitchen to see what I can find to eat before Pam gets home to fix my supper.

wow, pic taken moments before the famed abby road pic...
Mash notes?
Yes, mash notes. A term for often-steamy handwritten love notes between paramours.
I caught the Chritina Perri video on MTV (it was too early in the AM for them to air reality TV?) - It impressed me as a video that was as artisitc as the song...in a good way. I think if more videos were of that quality, we could justify a channel devoted entirely to MusicTV
I believe their good English hatred for all things related to Hitler trump honest evaluation of the Beetle on its merits.
