"Picture pages, picture pages, go and get your picture pages."
(Name that TV show from the late 70's)
First, is this guy good or stupid? No way I could do that.

I wrote that the McGowans had stopped by for a visit. Here's why------>They have very graciously donated this brand new electric cart to Pathway and delivered it from their home in CA. We'll sell it for an as-yet undetermined price and all the proceeds will go to Geoff and Shannon Husa, missionaries in Papua New Guinea whom we support as a church. The Husas work with the Mibu, a tribal group that had NO knowledge of God and his love for them prior to the arrival of the Husas and the couple who work with them. (New Tribes Mission) The only way to reach the Mibu is by helicopter, that's how remote they are.
As long as I had the camera out this morning for pics of the cart I took some of the action out in back. This is our first iris. None of the others have buds yet, but as you can see this one has bloomed and has more buds ready to open. I just grabbed a variety of iris bulbs out of various boxes at the nursery, but I really like this first one.
And here's the lily pond. Hard to tell from this pic but things look good. Each of the pots has at least one leaf at the surface, and the center pot has three. They're small leaves, but much larger ones will emerge as the plants mature. Then the blossoms. (I'm eager to see them.) I saw three of the fish earlier, which represents a 30% survival rate. It's a good thing I'm better raising kids than fish.
Here's a view of the rose garden with the iris along what is the back side relative to the roses. The house is to the right with the lily pond in between. So look out our slider and you look across the lilies to the roses and then the iris. I think eventually I'll have the iris all the way around.
I made Sunday's song slides this morning, a process that involves listening to each of the songs at least three times. Then I created the notes for the sermon that's been in my head for at least three weeks. During that process, which got my head thinking even more about Easter, I decided I feel frustrated by this week. Nobody's "fault," no culpability anywhere, but I've been so busy that my mind hasn't been focused on Passion Week like I wish it had. Each day I've been up early, working hard and exhausted at day's end. So I intentionally kept today's schedule light, mentally and physically. The same tomorrow. The weight of the events we remember this week is too great to get short shrift.
I don't particularly care about the 76ers. But the enemy of my enemy is my friend.
Go Philly!

I remember Bill Cosby did Picture Pages, and that it was a sketch in a bigger show. Something about a mannequin that came to life or something? I don't recall the name of it though.
I know it's not part of The Great Space Coaster, but thinking of old TV kids' shows got that theme song stuck in my head. (That's not a good thing.)
