(for some reason blogger.com is acting weird with text formatting. Sorry for the funky look.)
Ryann, at Pathway, is one of the owners and the chief Physical Therapist at "Arizona Orthopedic Physical Therapy. Like many businesses they've started a Facebook page. Today's post:
Fit Tip: Resistance cuffs are weighted bracelets that strap around your wrists and ankles. The added resistance makes moving and swimming in water more challenging than normal.
I read that and thought: if swimming got any more challenging for me it would be called drowning. Then I thought, where else besides water would one swim, especially with resistance cuffs?
I ordered two books for my Kindle in prep. for leaving town tomorrow. I got the first book in "The Zion Covenant" series based on the recommendation of Marcie, at church. But the cover pic is of a young woman who looks like she should have Fabio standing behind her.
Is this a girlie book??
So I also ordered "Fiddler's Gun" on the FB recommendation of Nathan Killion, one of my former students now serving with his family as missionaries in Thailand. If the first one is a thinly disguised romance novel I've got Nathan's book as a backup.
I'll report back.
The weather forecast for next week in western WA is sun and mid-70's all week!
But we had the same forecast for our tent camping in OR. It is, after all, the PNW.
Hope I can change my seat when I get to the airport tomorrow afternoon. Sitting by the window was fun when I was young and wanted to see. Now I'm old and want the room. Aisle all the way.
I'm a fiscal conservative. I'm also a pragmatist. Stubborn adherence to principle can often mean losing both the battle and the war. I fear that's what the league of freshmen Congressmen/women is about to insure. Sometimes the better part of wisdom is to settle for a sizable piece of the pie rather than no pie at all, now or later.
Off to meet with a very anxious Todd then home to pack. I slept in my chair last night so Pam could have the bed. Easier to keep her hand elevated on a pile of pillows if the other half of the bed is empty. I'll probably do the same tonight, and then I'm gone for 10 days. I don't sleep well in the chair but I've got a three hour flight to SeaTac to catch up. And if I'm squashed against the window it may be the best way to survive.
