"Never confuse movement with action." - Ernest Hemmingway

And if you think this kind of thing would never happen, watch this video. (You'll have to forgive the language but can you really blame the guy?)

I've had more naps today than cans of Diet Coke. Can't remember the last time I felt this exhausted inside and out. But I also miss spending time with the kids at camp. (The people are the best part.) I've had a ton of Facebook invitations from them. I posted that I now have more H.S. friends than I did when I was in H.S. Reality is that I'll probably never see most of those 80 kids again which makes me sad. Many of them are going to make a big mark in this world and they all represent Imago Dei.

Thursday was all about the week's theme - the Medieval Ages. That incl. dressing in period costumes for dinner and an evening activity. Some of these kids got very creative, especially when you consider they had to bring all the stuff with them.

Kevin is the Youth Pastor at Berean Bible Church in Shoreline, WA and was the camp director. His wife Candace and four kids were at camp too, and they brought their dog, Breve (as in Starbucks). I think their costumes were the BEST! Can you identify them? Hint: the dog is out of the frame but he was wearing a sign that said "ROUS."

Tomorrow it's back to Pathway. That's good! We don't have second hour during July to give our teachers a break but local schools start their year Monday (some are already back) so we return to our normal schedule, too. In our adult Foundations class we'll begin an OT survey course based on my curriculum, complete with homework assignments and exams. (They don't know that part yet.)

Tomorrow is a milestone in other ways, too. Pam and I will mark 40 years of marriage and Megan, our oldest grandchild, turns 9. So we'll celebrate by attending her birthday party poolside at their new/old house. By mid-afternoon when the party starts it will be around 110 degrees. I'm thinking most of the adults may be inside with the air conditioning.
