"Dumb blonde" is inappropriate. She is a light-haired detour off the information superhighway.



After hitting four home runs against the Baltimore Orioles yesterday, Texas Rangers outfielder Josh Hamilton has now hit more home runs this season than the entire San Diego Padres team. He's hit 14 already, and has a .406 batting average. His backstory makes him far and away the most compelling player in baseball.

Ephebiphobia - the fear of teenagers.

Cacophobia - the fear of ugliness
Homophobia - a clever piece of linguistic dishonesty whereby a word is chosen for its connotative effect, namely characterizing those who have a moral objection to homosexual behavior as irrational and paranoid.

I started a new book today on my Kindle. I now find that as easy, maybe easier than reading a regular book. It's certainly more convenient. I took it with me to the lab because I knew I'd have to wait before a blood draw, and because this is a longer book it would have been more cumbersome otherwise. This would be classified as theology, but I don't think it's a book I'll use as a reference. For those hardback is the only way to go.

Tonight I'll finish up the meals Pam prepared before she left, and I have four and a half days to go before she gets back.
I feel like I'm on Survivor.
