(I'm silently correcting your grammar.)

David Stern, commissioner of the NBA, has announced that at their recent off-season meetings the Board of Governors approved ad patches on team jerseys beginning with the 2014 season. European soccer already does this so the NBA can predict about what kind of revenue this will bring in, something in the neighborhood of $100 million. When a sponsor buys an ad on a team's jerseys it also goes on all jerseys sold to fans of that team, making it even more valuable to the sponsor.

How long will it be before the NFL and MLB get in on this action? That's not chump change.
And from sports to....?
The priest's robes at your neighborhood Catholic church?
Cops' uniforms?

The Kodak printer we had, and which was used almost exclusively at the end of the week to print stuff for Sunday, has been giving me serious grief for months. There have been times....
The elders authorized purchasing a new printer and I got an HP Photosmart 7510 because it was on sale at Best Buy and I got a stupid deal on it. Way more features than I'll use but that's the way it came, and lesser printers cost more.
I'm a Scotsman and couldn't bring myself to throw out the Kodak printer with ink cartridges left. And I had an extra black cartridge in the drawer when I got the new HP. This morning it finally gave me the "Replace cartridge" message indicating that last one was empty. Good thing, too, because it had just sucked a sheet of paper back in the output slot. I'm pretty sure that's not good. It's the printer version of vomiting, just reversed.

This HP is trick! It has a touch screen that showed videos of specific steps during setup. Of course the six ink cartridges required are "setup" cartridges and have just enough ink to print about two sheets of paper, but Staples is having a sale this week on HP cartridges. Buy two, get one free. I'll be there tomorrow.

The Supreme Court upheld one of the three elements of SB 1070, the Arizona illegal immigration law. The one that made it through their review requires local law enforcement to check the documentation of anyone detained for some other reason. Get pulled over for a busted tail light? If they have reason to suspect you're in the country illegally they will ask for documentation. If I understand correctly there are specific standards for what constitutes reasonable suspicion that the person is in the country illegally.

The administration wasn't happy that part of the law was upheld. A week later they announced that if local law enforcement called the Feds here to say they'd detained someone without documentation the Feds would only take them into custody if they were accused of a dangerous felony. That pretty much means that the Supreme Court ruling was nullified because it won't be implemented.
But wait! There's more!
This week the Federal Govt. announced they're reducing staffing of ICE personnel here, further hampering the enforcement of SB 1070.
You can't fight city hall, especially if it's in Washington D.C.

There's more but it's late - by old man standards. I'll save it for tomorrow night.

Dave uses a Continuous Ink Supply System for all of our camp and personal printing. It saves a lot of money. I wonder if your new printer is compatible with something like that?
