"Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or at eighty." - Henry Ford

Not everything that can be done should be done.

I drove the VW to church this morning. It's fun to drive, especially around corners. It does zero to 30 in "What's your hurry?" but has such a short wheelbase that just a little rotation of the steering wheel means you're around the corner. All new suspension parts gives a tight feel, too.

This morning in our adult class...
secularism = the separation of church & state.
secularization = a growing separation between cultural standards & values and those of a religious system.
That is, secularism is good. Secularization, not so much. Why? That's what we'll be working on, as well as how we should respond to secularization.

The arrows show where the spot welds have broken loose. There shouldn't be any gap between the horizontal pieces. Tomorrow I'll find out how extensive a repair this will be. Shouldn't be much, but it depends on how much repaint has to be done.

Cards won a game in OT that they led 34-17. The win is good but the way it happened can't make the front office happy. They have to win their last two games and SF or the Panthers lose one of theirs if we're going to make the playoffs. But even if that doesn't happen there's finally hope for the future here. Our QB isn't top tier but he's serviceable and the defense shows promise.

I check one of the Grand Rapids news sites each morning to see what's happening back where we spent 17 years. I check out the traffic cams, too. They've rec'd a lot of that white stuff we've been hearing about and we're reminded how much we don't miss that kind of weather.
We'll be in the upper 70's for most of this week.
