Taft was the last President with facial hair.
The day started overcast and cool but by noon the sun was out and we got almost to 60. By Monday we'll be back to 70 or thereabouts, and stay there for the rest of the week. So while the rest of the country is getting slammed with ice, snow, and cold, we're muddling through.
The weather guy said we've had twice as much rain in '13 as we did in '12, the third in a drought stretch. Should make for a beautiful spring when the hills bloom.
I didn't do the normal chores today. The laundry and dishes still got done but I decided to break from the routine for the rest of it. Pam's car has had a burned out headlight for a few weeks, and when she got in her car to leave for work this morning she discovered the other one was dead, too. So for $33 (yikes!) I put in two new bulbs. Then, while still in a car kind of mood I bathed the Falcon to get off the yuck from this week's rain. Hey, the bucket's out, so change the water and wash the windows 'round the house. Now, no sense having them clean on the outside and dirty on the inside, so....
That's how the day went, from one task to the next with frequent breaks for something to eat. Some days I'm hungry all the time and this was one of them. But everything was paleo, so it's all good.
Joe called this afternoon to say the VW deck lid is ready. I'll pick it up Monday morning and be back in business. And my personalized plates came yesterday. Pic in Monday's post; we'll see if it makes sense to anyone but me.
OK, I gotta go pick up Pam from work. A few weeks ago I drove her to work and then forgot to be there when she got out. Not good after your wife has worked a 12-hour shift.
I'm outta here.
