NBC has the TV coverage of the Winter Olympics and had been hyping Lindsey Vonn, probably the world's best women's downhill skier, as one of their main story lines. Oops. Injury is going to keep her out of the competition. So they've quickly ramped up background stories about Mikaela Shiffrin, another young downhill skier with medal potential. Today's headline on NBC.com:
"How Mikaela Shiffrin conquered pull-ups, blotchy skin, and more."
I had no idea she was THAT young!
I've just about got all the outside shrubs & trees pruned back and ready for spring growth. It's early, but I've too often been behind on that task when the temps get warm(er) and new growth starts. The pond is all ready, all but a couple of shrubs done, and then the two citrus trees. I always leave that for last because it is the one I dread.

Life is good.
Today was the first Saturday of Pam's new 5x8 schedule, which means it was her first Saturday home in a long time. We used the morning to do chores, working in different rooms, but with my "Respect" channel blasting through the TV's sound system (5.1) using our new Chromecast.
That's what I named the channel that I formed starting with Aretha Franklin, so it's a lot of soul, MoTown, and some R&B.
I think we got a lot more done for the background music that filled the house.
Best $35 I spent in a long time.
