Don't spend all your money on a safe.

With Pam working five days a week I've been doing some of the grocery shopping. We were out of paper towels so that was on my list last week.
She's been getting a brand that has perforations every six or seven inches, allowing for what I would describe as a half-sheet. I didn't get that brand. I had no idea, I just grabbed what was there, and these sheets would cover a queen size bed. Gotta be 16" long.
And because I got them at Costco we have enough to get us through to 2016.

I'm hoping Chris Christie turns out to be the victim of bad staffers and not personally involved in this mess. If the former, he'll survive. If the latter, he's done before he started.

We're one week away from the Scottsdale car auctions. Gonna be especially good this year!

On Nov. 10 we ordered two new recliners to replace our decade-old, ragged pair. He told us they'd be here in four to six weeks, but probably closer to six because of the holiday. That would have the chairs arriving just before Christmas.
They didn't come.
I called him last week (I'm an extremely patient person) and his explanation:
"Yeah, I guess the three holidays slowed it down more than we expected."
Except, as I pointed out, the six weeks he predicted only included one holiday, Thanksgiving. The fact we went through two more holidays makes it worse.
He looked up the order and said they'd be here today, and he'd give me free delivery ($80 otherwise) this Saturday because of the delay.
He called yesterday to say the factory blames the bad weather back east for manufacturing and shipping delays, so they won't be here until next Wednesday, and delivered the following Saturday.
In the grand scheme of things it's no big deal. It's not like we're sitting on the floor until they arrive. But I want our nice leather chairs!
