"Insanity runs in my family. It practically gallops." - Cary Grant

A long time ago I read that every sermon should have something to think about, something to feel about, and something to do. That's probably a description of what a good day should look like, too. And this day had all three. I spent the morning up at Paradise Bakery working on Sunday's lesson re. secularization and it required some careful cogitation. I spent an hour or so after lunch working on the VW wiring issue, and then did a pretty challenging workout at the gym. In between I did some misc. tasks for Sunday while listening to my classical opera station on Pandora. Lifts my spirits.

It dawned on me this afternoon that Pam hasn't seen the house in daylight since the day after Christmas. Between working 12-hour shifts and very early/late flights she's left before sunup and come home after sundown every day for the last nine, and tomorrow will be the same. I'll have to show her the re-worked rose garden Sunday afternoon.

The oil pressure light issue wasn't the socket connection as I had hoped. But I'm hot on the trail of another possibility. The wiring harness is getting squashed by the front hood's left hinge. (See green arrow) After posting this pic with a question on the VW forum site a guy pointed out that harness is supposed to go over the hinge, not under it. So Sunday afternoon Pam will help me take the hood off, I'll re-route the harness, and then open it up to see if the wire in question has been abraded. Hopefully I'll find out the answer is yes, I'll make the repair, and we'll put the hood back on.

My Chromecast has still "Left L.A. facility."

Time for some dinner, and then off to the monthly vintage VW gathering at the local dealership. Last month it was in the 40's and apparently the cold kept the normal crowd away. (It was my first time.) Today we hit 74, so I'm expecting what I was told is a typical 60 or so classic VW's.
