"You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream." - C.S. Lewis
I'm irritated with myself.
I had the perfect illustration to use at the end of my sermon yesterday - this was a 10 out of 10 - and realized this morning that I FORGOT TO USE IT!
I may have to preach the same sermon next Sunday just so it doesn't go to waste.
Because the car auctions - I think there are eight this year - are all running this week, tens of thousands of people from all over the world and thousands of cars of every kind and sort have come to the Valley of the Sun. All of the auction sites are in the east valley where the money is.
"Hmmm. Should we find a site for our auction in Scottsdale or Sun City?"
But on my way back from Home Depot this morning I passed an area where semis frequently park and there sat three big car haulers. And we're probably 30 miles from the closest auction site.
I read last night that the drivers bring cars in and then wait until the end of the week when they offer their services to buyers who need those same cars transported to their new homes.
I won't need them, though. I can drive mine back to our house.
At this point they're predicting upper 70's and lots of sun for the second half of the week. Perfect!
Sorry this is so short. I don't even have engaging links for you. I've had a busy day of studying and tasks, and now it's time for a shower, dinner, and a meeting in town.
I'll make up for it tomorrow. Just you wait and see.
