About three weeks ago I started a regimen designed to dramatically increase the number of pull ups I can do. I installed a bar in the garage so I could go out there and do a set anytime I wanted. For the first month you do pull ups all day long, gradually increasing the number in each set and the total number of sets, doing more each day than the day before. Today I did 110 pull ups - eleven sets of 10 each. A year ago I couldn't do one pull up.
Next week I begin doing "ladders." Instead of sets all day long you do one killer set, starting at one (rest for 60 seconds), then two (rest for 60 seconds), then three... all the way up to 10, and then back down the same way. I don't know what that adds up to, and don't really want to know. I think the number would scare me off.
The VW is ready for tomorrow. I have a special spray that I'll take along for some last minute freshening but she's all spiffy, inside and out. I made up a little bio sheet that includes a pic of the car still sitting in the barn where it was found, and another that says it's for sale. But only if I get the right price. It's going up in value so I'm in no hurry. (I've priced it between a #1, the green line, and a #2, the yellow line.)
Those with cars entered in the show are supposed to be there from 9 am. to 3 p.m. I'm taking lots of reading along, including some articles for this orientation course I'm taking. I'm also taking lots of fluids, because we're supposed to hit 88 tomorrow afternoon. Pam will bring me lunch around noon and we'll stroll the show.
I feel (almost) guilty about my blog lately. I haven't had anything significant to post in...a long time. But my brain and my body are busy trying to keep up, with no space left for musings or miscellany. Between Sunday's stuff, the body & paint class, and the almost overwhelming work load of the orientation course I'm hustling from one thing to the next. In fact, I've got more reading to get done before bed.
It will get back to normal. Promise.
