If Russia prepares for war like it prepared for the Olympics we have nothing to worry about.
Do you know what we're NOT doing tonight?
We're not changing all our clocks or losing an hour of sleep.
One more thing to like about March in Arizona.
Last night we couldn't find anything on TV worth watching but needed something as background noise. So I went to this site, the internet home for WAMU, the public radio station in D.C. There you can listen to the previous week's "The Big Broadcast." It's four hours (we didn't listen that long) of radio shows from the pre-TV era. Last night we listened to an episode of Dragnet and Gunsmoke. Fun! I learned about it from a story on NPR, and the host said he gets a surprising number of fan letters from kids. I can understand why.
"To the moon, Alice. To the moon."
Couldn't get away with a line like that today!
We went to Best Buy tonight to replace the camera I sat on a week ago. I couldn't bring myself to go into Walmart. But that's the last time we'll be in a Best Buy. Disaster. Bad selection, worse service.
Something I did set off an alarm that blared and brought no one. When I did want help I had to go across the store to get an employee just sitting at a table in the TV section. I now know why he was just sitting; he didn't know anything about cameras. He got a guy at least one step up the food chain who was downright surly.
If I had it to do over again I'd have gone to...(choking on the words)...Walmart.
