"It's an extra dividend when you like the girl you've fallen in love with." - Clark Gable

(I like Pam.)

As I type this we've received 1/2" of rain here in Sun City and might get another 1/4" or so before the system has moved through. Nothing like what they got in CA but appreciated nonetheless.

In addition to my Saturday chores I spent some time removing things from the truck's engine to get it ready for removal. It has to be stripped down to just the block and head with nothing bolted to the outside and no pistons, valves, or bearings on the inside. One of the last items on the list of external items is the harmonic balancer which is press-fit onto the crankshaft at the front of the engine.

The say you should learn something every day. Today I learned this is NOT the way to remove a harmonic balancer.

It wouldn't budge so I posted this pic to the Chevy truck form wit the question, "Am I doing this right?"
A minute later I saw a reply posted:
"NO, NO, NO, NO, NO"
Turns out there's a specific tool designed for this task and my method was going to do real damage. So Monday I'll get that tool and then see if the damage has already been done.
Undoubtedly just the first stumble in my rookie effort at engine rebuilding.

I heard that the big question tomorrow night will be, "Who are you wearing?"
Tomorrow I'll be wearing a combination of Jacque Claude Penney, Targette, and Costqeau.

I'd forgotten the affect that antibiotics have on the digestive track. Something else to think about going into tomorrow morning.

The movie "The Son of God" opened this weekend and I heard it's the first of 14 Bible-based movies hitting theaters this year. Some are based on the Bible, "with artistic liberties taken."
Read the Book. It's always better than the movie. And I expect to spend the next three years correcting the powerful bogus impressions left by that visual medium.

What Bible story would you make into a movie?
I don't know how you could miss with the life of Joseph, or Daniel.
