"At my age flowers scare me." - George Burns

The little old lady who pushes her walker ever-so-slowly by our house every afternoon stopped when I greeted her to ask if that was a fire. It was white fluffy clouds. I just said, "I hope it's not a fire!" She agreed.

I'm working an hour or so each day getting the truck frame cleaned of all rust and dirt so it can be painted. A right-angle grinder with a wire brush attachment and a hand held wire brush for hard to reach areas. It's noisy, dirty work but I know from doing the VW that it will look good when I'm done, which helps keep me motivated.

AZ only has plates for the rear of the vehicle, so some put decorative plates on the front. I saw one this morning I like:
No sniveling!

I worked this afternoon on my slides for Sunday's class. We're going to be talking about the four Gospels. Why are there four? What if we discovered another; would we add it as a fifth? Why are they similar in some ways but different in others?

To spice things up a bit I downloaded a picture of each of the four guys to go with their name. Turns out there's a fairly standard (bogus) image for each (plenty of variations, too) that dates back to early church history. Icons, so those images were used wrongly, but it helps to put a face with the name.
Just for fun.

Mark's holding out his book like he's showing it off. "See this? I wrote this."
Luke is flashing the peace sign. Who knew it was millennia old?

Gotta sign off. Geoff is going to call in a few minutes. Geoff and Shannon and their four kids are the missionaries Pathway supports. They live in an extremely remote village in Papua New Guinea accessible only by helicopter. But they're out in the "city" of Port Moresby for a break and he will use Skype to give me a call.
Ain't technology grand?!
