We're getting a couple of days in the upper 80's and low 90's. There won't be many (any?) of these left before we're in triple digits every day and over 110 for many of them. Gotta enjoy this to the fullest.
If you're interested in the Sterling story you gotta read this L.A. Times article. I don't want to know there are people this evil in our midst. Unconscionable bullying on a monstrous scale made possible because he was meaner and richer than anyone he encountered. Alas, he may have met his match in the cadre of other NBA owners.
My routine is to have Pam's gluten free waffles with Canadian bacon one morning and three fried eggs with bacon the next. With no pretense at modesty...I'm a master at eggs at bacon. I can turn out perfect over-easy eggs every time, and they look good, too.
Pam prefers soft boiled eggs. You should not see me cracking those open. Hack.
I had the brakes on Pam's Kia done this morning in anticipation of our vacation trip, but hey, it was way overdue. I spent the time they did that work doing my own in a coffee shop across the street, an indie that I'll be going back to soon.
But wait, there's more!
Besides being indie (and therefore preferred over a Starbucks) it's a non-profit. Yep, the goal is not to make money. While there I learned the shop is one small part of a local organization, "Heart for the City," that works to help inner city kids break the cycle of poverty, crime, and unemployment. They mentor the kids, get them involved in after school activities helping them with equipment, transportation, etc., and teach them life skills. One of the ways that last part happens is by giving qualified (older) kids a job in this coffee shop, the real reason for the shop's existence. The gal managing the place runs a tight ship (she's hyper!) and while I was there I watched her teaching the four late-teens both skills and principles.
Once they've reached a level of development at the coffee shop they're hired at one of the many area businesses that support Heart for the City who know they're getting someone who has learned essential character traits and work skills. These alumni then go on to work as mentors with younger kids in the program.
A Christian organization, and with their act together. Contemp Christian music playing in the shop. I looked at their web site and the board of directors includes some pretty major players in the Phoenix business community.
I'm impressed!
Is this where ultralights come from?
And no, that's not photoshopped. It's from the Berlin Air Show and these guys are crazy good and crazy.

What's the coffee shop called? Where is it located? Sounds like a good place.
Java Grounds, 83rd and Deer Valley. Close to our house, but yours...not so much.
