Nobody "falls" in love. Everybody jumps.
Falling makes it sound like something beyond my control, something that happens to me. That applies to infatuation, with lust, with fascination, but never with love. Love happens when I choose to act in ways that bond me to someone.
A successful marriage requires choosing to act in love many times, always with the same person.
I got a whole lot done today. I started at sunup out in the garage, cleaning an engine stand, cleaning an engine hoist, cleaning tools, and wiping half the floor by hand with lacquer thinner (it's epoxy coated). I'll do the other half tomorrow. I realized I've reached that point where I'm done with teardown, and almost everything from this point on either works with parts I've removed and cleaned or with new parts. I have a few pieces that need cleaning, like the oil pan, but most things are done. So from here on there shouldn't be a lot of grease and grime, and a clean work space will keep things tidy.
I also installed a new overhead florescent light. With the sun rising later and setting earlier I'll need that aid. (Too bad it isn't having any effect on the temps. At 7 p.m. it's 104 degrees.
Two loads of laundry.
Up to Starbucks and did some writing. I really enjoy that process, and two hours went by so quickly I was surprised when I realized the time.
Much needed haircut.
Lunch and some misc. tasks to prep for Sunday, and some reading to prep for the next sermon series.
Vacuum and dust the bedroom.
Gym time, including 300 reps of jump rope, 90 sit ups, 5 minutes on the rower and the bike, and six reps of "mini-Cindy."
Dinner!
