1930 Henderson Streamliner
I think the Falcon transmission is going to need some professional attention in the near future. I can buy a lot of tranny fluid for the cost of a rebuild, but at some point the drip pan in my driveway filled with kitty litter will have trouble keeping up. It's not the original tranny, it's not the correct tranny, and it probably wasn't a fresh tranny.
The above was written last night. It's all I could manage before my brain shut down entirely, with my body calling it quits shortly thereafter.
I was out in the driveway this morning by 5:30 sanding on the tailgate, the last piece in this round of sanding. Two guys stopped by to talk about the project and comment on my dedication. The second, Tony, is from Brooklyn and sounds every bit of it. Nice little Italian guy who said he wishes I was his neighbor so he could keep closer track of my progress. Ironically, one of my neighbors feels just the opposite and turned me in to the HOA a month ago for having a non-op vehicle in the driveway. Well, it's not in the driveway, I only have parts out there for an hour or two at a time, and then only because I'm working on them. So I countered, prevailed, and furthered the divide between me and the house to the _____. (The guy on the other side called the HOA and chewed them out for giving me grief.) Anyway, I chuckled on the inside when Tony said he wishes I was his neighbor.
I didn't get the tailgate finished. Did it all with 80 grit, but still have the 120 and 180 to go. Ran out of time.
No matter how much I stress a long A in CrAig it get my coffee cup with Greg.
And if I say Mac I almost always get Matt, sometimes Mack.
Why is this so difficult?
The Starbucks was slammed this morning. I had to sit at a table outside where at 9:30 it was 98F.
Thunderstorms on the way this evening. In the meantime this could be Atlanta for the humidity.
Could you live in a space the size of your 2-car garage? We've been playing around with house plans and I've drawn up one that is 20'x30' with the front 20'x15' with a cathedral ceiling and the back with a loft. I was trying to get a sense of that size and then realized it's very close to the interior of our garage. Uhm....cozy. Even after 43 years of marriage we may not love each other that much.
However, when I look at individual room sizes (down = kitchen, living, bath, laundry, bedroom) they're all adequate. And the cathedral ceiling for the kitchen/living, with a skylight, should help.
The average house in the U.S. is 2,300 sq. feet, which is crazy. We've got 1,350 and don't use about half of it. Hmmm.
Elder meeting tonight, so this is all you get.
