"Never for the sake of peace and quiet deny your convictions." - Dag Hammarskjold

Note: I'm old enough to remember who Dag Hammarskjold was, and that he rated as almost a favorite son in the Scandinavian community in which I grew up.

Murphy followed me around pretty much all day. Irritating.

My adult class is going through a series on dealing with conflict. Yesterday's discussion looked at Abram giving Lot his choice of land when it became necessary for them to separate. Take away: sometimes the best course is to stand down, to let the other person decide what should be done and/or how. Peace often weighs more.
More than a hundred bucks? Yeah, probably.
And I have to do it with  easy graciousness or it doesn't count.

I'm also at a puzzlement with the truck. I need to install the clutch and transmission, but I can't do that with the engine on the floor. I need to get to the underside. The answer is to mount the engine on the frame, but I don't have room in the garage for that, and my next door neighbors have made it clear they don't like any part of this project in the driveway.
I also need an extra set of hands to get through this next stage. I can't hold a 50 lb. transmission up against the back of the engine and bolt it into place. One or the other.
Wanna come help?

That health screening this morning was a joke, but it saves us money so I'll go through the charade.
Shockingly, all my numbers were great. BMI of 19, pulse at 51, BP at 136/80....

Joe runs a car restoration business. He put the AC in the Falcon for me and I bought the spare truck engine from him.
He knows nothing about computers and the internet so I'm listing four old oil bath air cleaners on eBay for him. We'll split the proceeds, which is good. The listing is a hassle.
I'm going to go get another one posted.
