I didn't realize Veteran's Day was a school holiday, but it didn't take me long to figure that out. Starbucks was crawling with the noisy little rascals.
You'll spot a pedestrian in the center of the screen. Small at first, but you can't miss him as the dash cam gets closer. Can't miss him.

Did he mess his pants?
Her victory was a narrow one, but a victory nonetheless, and now she's getting hammered in the press. One local columnist said, "She threw her dunce cap into the ring...and won."
Ouch!
It will be interesting to see if she can pull it off. Nowhere is it written that someone from entirely outside a field can't bring effective leadership; administration and leadership are transferrable skills. We've seen that with CEO's who move from one Fortune 500 company to give another very dissimilar firm the rescue it needs. The former CEO of Proctor & Gamble has been tapped to straighten out the VA. But it's also possible her election to an office for which she's not qualified signals the level to which people are tiring of federal overreach. OK, this is AZ, where the term wild west best describes the prevailing zeitgeist. But methinks what happened with our Supt. of Schools election may serve as a microcosm of what happened across the country last week: Americans gave a slap-down to the federal govt. by electing those who opposed an administration that seems to think they know what's best for us and is eager to force that wisdom on us.
Just a thought.
I'm thankful God knows what he's doing and is in control. I don't know what I'm doing, so if I were in control I'd make a real mess of things...repeatedly. Sometimes I have to remind myself that my frustrated plans and unrealized goals are, in fact, a blessing. How many times has he saved me from myself? A: many, many more times than I realize.
I worked on the truck this afternoon. I gotta do something or I'm going to go crazy.
I have the cab 99% ready for paint.
