"I've never saw a lawyer yet who would admit he was making money." - Mary Roberts Rinehart
You just don't get stimulating blog fodder with the restrictions I'm under.
I did sand on the truck cab a bit this morning. I worked slowly, was careful to squat instead of bending over, and because I'm using 280 grit it's not physically demanding. But aside from a lot of reading and some writing, that was my day.
I'm not sure I'll last much longer at this.
I did meet Steve for lunch. I enjoy spending time with my kids and I'm glad he called to suggest it. I needed to get OUT.
PSA:
As we talked about it last night I realized Pam thought skin cancer is skin cancer. Just in case you think so too, there are three types, and the two most common are basil cell carcinoma and melanoma. The former is a cancer of the skin and, if left untreated, spreads to more skin. The spot gets bigger and removing it requires a larger excision. If it goes wild it can impinge on neighboring organs like eyes, but that's rare. Most people figure out there's something wrong before that happens.
Melanoma may grow bigger, but the real problem is that it metastasizes, spreading throughout the body. At that point a simple excision won't do the job; radiation and/or chemotherapy will be required. That's why the mortality rate for basil cell is .03% and for melanoma it's 15-20%. The thing is, you and I can't tell the difference (not that I want to let either one go untreated). So pay attention and get anything the least bit suspicious checked out.
We interrupt this post because...I just had another bleed-out.
Grrrrrrr.
Thankfully (!) I got this one stopped with the 20 minutes of compression the said was the way to start. And if that doesn't do it a trip to the ER comes next.
How do I know if this happens during the night when I'm asleep? I was just sitting here typing a blog post, for Pete's sake.
I sure hope they can do that plastic surgery Monday!
