I tried to catch some fog. I mist.

I've had a string of experiences involving people acting in what I would call bad faith, or at least not with the kind of business standards I think should are appropriate. Today it was one of the vendors for truck restoration parts, one that I've not used before. I called to find out when my parts would arrive because, unlike others, they apparently don't send out tracking info, and it had already been a week.
Except they do provide tracking data.
"Oh yeah, we shut down for Thanksgiving week and we're having trouble catching up with the orders that came in while we were gone. You will get a tracking number when your order goes out."
Not a big deal, but neither would it have been for them to put a notice to that effect on their web site. There's the expectation, matched by every other vendor I've used, that an order will go out within 48 hours unless there's a weekend involved.

Yesterday I was driving north on 67th Ave, a five-lane thoroughfare, in the right lane. To my left was a motorcycle officer. He stayed right there for over a mile, and yes, it made me a bit nervous. I don't speed so that wasn't a concern, but that he hung with me for so long made me wonder if I'd done something inadvertently.
When we came to a red light, both of us in the front of the line, I looked over to see what kind of bike he was riding (a Honda). He looked at me, smiled, and said, "That's a really cool car."
When the light went green he accelerated away from me.
(But almost everyone does.)

After a couple of days with no progress I spent some time working on the truck this afternoon. I got the access hole cut in the floor that will allow me to fill the new master cylinder, and then made an aluminum border for the piece I cut out that allows it to cover that hole. It will be under the floor mat so making it pretty wasn't a priority, but it still looks OK. Then I started installing the sound proofing material I got from Lowe's last night. It's actually a roofing product but it works just as well as the Dynamat that sells for about five times as much.

Nothing of interest on last night so we watched a show we hadn't seen before, "Mecum Deal Makers" on NBCSN. Good show.

Speaking of...
Go here.
Wait for it. Then click on the one in the upper left corner. That will take you to a full-screen view. Put your mouse over that annoying bar to the right and a black strip will appear at the bottom of the bar with a tiny ">". Click on that icon and the bar will disappear. Now click the right arrow to see the next picture in full screen, on through the entire collection.
When (not if) you see one that stops your heart for its sheer beauty (there's something for everyone, including you) click on the small letter i in the lower right corner to read a short paragraph about it.
You're welcome.

Pam had to call in a "Code Gray" at work today. That's the code that brings security personnel to deal with an unruly patient, and from what she described this guy was downright scary. But in a whacko way; the guy was not of sound mind and had been getting increasingly agitated for several hours. It eventually got to the point that he was a danger to the staff. The security people surrounded him, basically tackled him to his bed, and got him medicated.
More excitement than you typically get on a med-surg floor.
