"A people that value its privileges above its principles soon loses both." - Dwight Eisenhower
My day was dominated by Arrowhead Dental. I was there at 9:30 and left just before 1:00. I thought what he did two weeks ago was root canals but it was just the removal of the pulp of these two teeth. (You're now asking what the difference is. The answer: 3+ hours and several hundred dollars after insurance.) So this morning a lady dentist who specializes in root canals did them, and then my regular dentist made the crowns. That part of my mouth is still very tender (do NOT put any pressure on those two teeth!), but I'm hoping that's gone tomorrow morning.
That's because tomorrow is the first of two days I'll spend at the auctions. Tomorrow is Barrett-Jackson, the largest of the eight car auctions running this week. It's a zoo, as much an event as a car auction. There will be over 1,700 of cars, thousands of people, and vendors everywhere hawking everything from automobilia to massage recliners to turquoise jewelry.
I'm there for the cars.
I won't buy any but there's a little bit of everything to look at and I'll learn things, too. I'll pay special attention to any restored '59 Chevy trucks I come across, looking for things like the routing for cables and wires, the step I'm at now.
What with half-days in dental offices and two days at car auctions this will be another week with only one day at the gym. This is not good.
I might have to restrict myself to one brownie tonight.
Two good games this weekend. I would root for Green Bay in any other circumstance, but against the Seahawks...they're goin' DOWN.
Another short post, but that's a combination of dentist-induced fatigue and some work I need to get done before turning in.
Oh, by the way, the forecast for Scottsdale calls for 70F tomorrow and 73F on Friday. Thought you should know.
