You can't always control who walks into your life but you can control which window you throw them out of.
My tooth issues are better today. Not good, but definitely better. As long as I chew on the left side....
I worked down at Noel's this afternoon doing some things in his garage to get ready for the cabinets that are going in next week and then moving a cactus out back 16" to the left. Yeah, 16". Last night I wrote God never intended people to live in a place where the temp could be said with one syllable. I also wonder if he meant people to live where the only things that grow have spikes that would make a porcupine proud. Yes, some of those spikes ended up in my hand, and yes, they hurt.
The Phoenix car auctions are two weeks away (they're actually in Scottsdale) and the two I'll attend - Barrett-Jackson and Russo/Steele - have both published their list of cars that will be sold. I've been through the R/S online catalog and am working my way through the B-J list, which is something like 1,600 cars long. The vehicles are listed in the order they'll cross the block with the most expensive scheduled for Friday night and Saturday. A few of the high-end on Sunday, too, though it winds down that day.
I've been interested to see the kind of cars & trucks that are low number, Wednesday and Thursday vehicles. The pickups that are there are 70's and 80's, and by the time you get into Friday they've been customized. I have yet to come across one that's stock.
Yesterday I got the wiper motor and link arms in. Not a fun job because that all goes up under the dash. Lay on the floor and put on fasteners that you can't see.
Next comes the heater and its vents, which goes below and in front of the wiper motor. I got it disassembled today and the plan is to take it down to the metal shop tomorrow to sand blast and powder coat.
Gotta spend some quality time with the sermon, too.
