If you're wrong and you shut up, you are wise. If you're right and you shut up, you are married.

The wind never died down today, but instead got stronger as the afternoon wore on.
No painting today! But the garage is all masked off so that if tomorrow is better I'm ready. And I've plenty of other projects inside and out to keep me busy if it's not.

This weekend Arizonans will not be moving their clocks on hour ahead. A bit of sanity in a too-often crazy state.

I realize it's heresy given my Seattle roots, but I think you gotta love the way the Oregon Ducks play football. It's fun to watch that no-huddle, hurry-up game. Their former head coach, Chip Kelly, is now head coach for the Philadelphia Eagles and he's taken that same style of play to the NFL. He's also creating a lot of buzz by trading away some of that team's superstars because they don't fit his scheme and grabbing up young players who do - including some who played for him at Oregon. They're saying the next season or two will either prove him a genius or send him to the unemployment line.
I'm rooting for genius.

The schools here are off next week for Spring Break. Yep, that's how we roll in the valley of the sun. School starts in early August and they're done in early May.
In Grand Rapids they're looking forward to above freezing temps next week.

Pam took another stumble today. This time she tripped over something and her shins took the hit. One got scraped almost from knee to ankle and the other has a large lump destined to be as multi-colored as any easter egg. The good news: this one's covered by her pants leg, not in the middle of her face.
