Chuck Norris can win a game of Connect Four in three moves.

We now return to our normal drivel.

Pam comes home tomorrow morning.
WOOT!!

When we were in Oregon working on MoHo a few weeks ago Todd, a neighbor up the road, helped me fix the water heater. Super nice guy with skills for everything. Today we got a "welcome to the Baker Rd. community" note from his wife, Renee. How cool is that?

The weather here is horrible. As I type this it's 111 degrees, the dew point is 62, and if we're lucky we'll get down to 83 tonight. "It's a dry heat" does NOT apply during the monsoons. I worked out in the garage until 10 a.m. and come in because my shirt was soaked and I was dying.

Notice anything??
I've taken off the fender and grill, and loosened everything else in front of the door. I'm going to use washers to move that fascia piece across the front out about 1/4" and then put the fender back on hoping that will create more space between the fender's rear edge and the door. I'm cautiously optimistic, but I'll need Pam's help before I can begin reassembly. The door is sitting in its opening but the bolts aren't tightened down, so it sags. I need her to hold the door in the proper position while I tighten the hinge bolts from the inside. Then I'll put the fender back and...hope!

Here's another truck related pic:
Last week Friday I took delivery of the wood, rails, and hardware that will be the floor of the bed. You can go with oak (fancy) or pine (original), so I went with...
cheap.
Out of the factory the pine would have been painted but I'm going to stain and varnish it for a half-way in between plain and fancy look. You can see some predrilled holes in the two wider boards in the center of the pic. Those holes have to be precisely located and at just the right depth. And there are equally precise grooves along the sides of each board that the rails go in. All of that to say I paid extra to get them grooved and drilled. 'Tweren't cheap but I'll know when I begin assembly that it's correct.
First step: use a 1/8" round over bit in my router to soften all the edges and then sand the boards very, very smooth. Stain, and six coats of spar varnish on all six sides.

I need to find out if I can set ringtones for individual callers on these new phones. I don't see a way to do it, but it sure seems like it should be possible.
What ring tone should I set for Pam????
On our old phones she was the opening measures of Beethoven's 5th symphony, but when she learned that's what I was using she disapproved. Sounded too ominous. So I changed it to Handel's Hallelujah Chorus. She liked that.
Note: writing that got me to thinking about it so I did another search and this time found instructions for getting it done. I also downloaded a free ringtone to my laptop. Now, how to get it from the laptop to the phone.....

Aside from that time spent working on the truck this morning and the gym time this afternoon most of the day has been spent getting things cleaned up for Pam's return. I made a mess while redoing the floor in the guest room so there's straightening and cleaning to be done. Yeah, some left yet to do. So I'm going to get back to work.
